Description
Author Jonathan Haidt addresses the rise in mental health and behavior concerns through the lens of considerations for the impact technology (smart phones, social media, constant access to internet) has had on brain development for functions to support healthy wellbeing that take place in "playbased" childhood, he shows how "phoned-based" childhood can lead to higher rates of anxiety and depression. He talks through how these changes are negatively impacting students' academic and social success.
