Description
Target Audience: Staff who have completed the NME Phase/Level 1 training through TRAIN-WI, staff included in district TSS teams, and staff with basic knowledge of TSS who are included in mental health system teams or behavior systems teams. (Recommended to have a minimum of 2 staff from a district attend)
Description: This event is to share updates from DPI and introduce the TSS Community of Practice initiative from DPI and TRAIN-WI. The focus of the Community of Practice is to provide local support to schools working to build an understanding of the Neurosequential Model in Education within their schools. There will be a brief review of NME but the majority of time will be for discussion of current and intended actions for infusing the trauma lens, sharing of potential supports and resources, and work time for determining potential action steps. Along with this event, there will be 4 virtual Community of Practice meetings throughout the school year to share updates, share resources of interest, and provide space for discussions on determined topics. Additionally, schools participating in this event may receive individual school support for planning and carrying out action steps through coaching and consultation with a CESA 12 consultant.
Registration Fee covered through Grant/contract ($35 per person cost recovery). If bringing a team of 3 or more please contact Rebecca Spets, 715-685-1855 to discuss registration costs.
